Real Madrid will look to bring in Harry Kane, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, but will not make their move before the summer
Florentino Perez’s squad revamp will not begin before the summer. Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Thibaut Courtois along with Neymar are Real Madrid’s top targets. Perez sees the Premier League trio as much more gettable compared to the Brazilian magician.
Consequently, reputed Sky Sports journalist, Guillem Balague said that Madrid has no intention of making big moves in January.

Hazard and Kane’s situation in the Premier League
Eden Hazard has been in great form for the past 18 months. The Belgian is Chelsea’s main creative force and among the best players in the world. Hazard harbours a dream of playing for the Spanish giants and will jump at any opportunity to move to the Santiago Bernabeu. His compatriot Thibaut Courtois also has the same feelings regarding the Madrid giants.
Harry Kane, meanwhile, is on a golden run of form. Kane broke the record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year and finished 2017 as the top goalscorer in major European leagues. The English international views on Madrid’s interest are well shrouded up until now. However, he did say that he will only stay at Tottenham if the club keeps on improving and winning trophies.
Guillem Balague’s views on Real Madrid’s frontline
Balague told Sky Sports, “It’s no secret that they need a new goalscorer.”
“This time around last season, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema had scored 20 league goals between them. But this time around they have only scored 10. None of them has managed more than 4 goals in the league!!”
Speaking of Hazard and Kane’s links to Madrid, Balague added, “So who’s on the wanted list? Eden Hazard is a top target and the club is interested in Harry Kane even though they are well aware of his emotional links to Spurs and to his manager, Mauricio Pochettino, plus the fact that Ronaldo does not want a similar striker next to him, make the move unlikely.”
“But those two candidates are logically only considered for the summer.”
Guillem Balague is a well known and well-respected journalist. His connections in the La Liga are pretty solid and his inputs regarding these things hold true more often than not. Both Hazard and Kane are talented individuals who will be great signings to revitalise the Madrid squad. Now with January moves being seemingly out of contention, it’ll be worth seeing how Zinedine Zidane will motivate his men to bring about a change in the team’s fortunes on the pitch.
