Antoine Griezmann will move to Real Madrid if the club bows down to his demands
Antoine Griezmann has made his stance on his future very clear. The Frenchman will leave Atletico Madrid if the club is unable to secure any silverware. Manchester United were favourites to sign the €100 million-rated forward up until this summer. However, Barcelona has taken over the Red Devils as front-runners in the race for Griezmann’s signatures.
Now, Real Madrid has also emerged as one of the prime destinations Griezmann could opt for. Florentino Perez would love to get one over his arch rivals. Griezmann himself has entertained the idea of a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Diario Gol is reporting that the 26-year-old is ready to snub a move to Barca if Real adhere to his demands.

Griezmann’s demands from Real Madrid
The first and the most obvious demand made by Griezmann is an assurance over a regular place in the first XI. It is the most realistic possibility seeing as how Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have misfired this season. Moreover, he wants his teammates to help him in realising his dream of winning the Ballon d’Or.
Apart from this Griezmann has also made some financial demands. He expects a salary of £10 million-a-year and wants the club to be active in the transfer window. Notably, Madrid has not yet made any big signing to counter the arrival of Ousmane Dembele and Phillipe Coutinho at the Camp Nou. The Frenchman believes that an influx of new talent is required considering the waning of powers of Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Marcelo and Cristiano.
And last but not least, the Atletico forward wants to play under Zinedine Zidane. Consequently, he wants Madrid to persist with Zidane despite the French coach’s failings this season.
There are three clubs vying for signatures of the Frenchman. Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid all currently stand on equal footing. However, Atletico would much rather sell their star man to an overseas club instead of a direct rival. Therefore unless the player himself is hell-bent on signing for Barca or Real, Griezmann will go to Manchester United. So it is the requirement of the Classico clubs to make an extraordinary offer to the player to force Atletico Madrid’s hand.
