Coach delivers update on Chelsea star’s future

Conte

David Luiz is really happy being at the Bridge and is not going anywhere, claims Tore Andre Flo, who is at present a coach and an ambassador at the club.

There have been quite a few stories going around in recent times that Chelsea’s defensive star is not happy with his current situation at the club. This has raised claims that the 30 year old superstar is all set to leave Stamford Bridge and look for regular football elsewhere.

Amid these stories, there were talks of him leaving the west London outfit to join a host of top clubs, which had caused some stir amongst the Blues camp.

With things not at their best for the London based clubs this term, manager Antonio Conte does not need more problems to mount on him, though he had recently suggested that he never took these claims seriously himself.

David Luiz has made just one appearance for Chelsea since his fall-out with manager Antonio Conte.

On the other hand Flo talked about how the player’s current injury was the reason that he was not being picked and it had nothing to do with anything else.

The Brazilian international has really impressed Flo, who was singing his praises while suggesting that he was going nowhere any time soon and dismissing all speculations.

However, he did point out a few things which might help Luiz his game to an extent as well, though the overall message suggested that he is still very much part of Conte and the club’s plans.

Author’s Take-

Well, after being given such an assurance, it will be interesting to see whether Luiz does actually leave the club that he rejoined back in 2016. He has already helped them win the league last term and will want to win more titles in the days to come.

Chelsea are going strong in the cup competitions, though their ambitions to retain the league have been a concern, with the form that Manchester City have been in the current campaign.

Hopefully Conte can make things work for his side yet again in the various competitions that they are trying to win and they get something out of his second season in charge of the English giants.
