Antoine Griezmann had stepped up to one of the World’s best with his regular excellence for Atletico Madrid and French national side.
The French forward recently opened up about his plans for the future and said that he’s open to a move to Premier League.
With Premier League giants, Manchester United constantly being linked with the Atletico Madrid ace, a move to Premier League looks on the cards.
The talismanic forward has racked up 10 goals in 20 games so far this season for club and country. Griezmann has been on the radar of various top clubs across Europe, Paris Saint Germain being one of them. But, the Atletico star has dismissed the links to move to Ligue 1 in any near future.
‘I am in Madrid, we have a good team, I want to win titles,’
‘PSG is an interesting project but I don’t want to move to Ligue 1 now.
‘I prefer to stay in La Liga or the Premier League. If I had to leave La Liga today, it will be for England.
‘But my objective is not to leave.’ he told talking to Telefoot.
The 25 years old has previously admitted that he talks about Manchester United with Paul Pogba and would someday love to play in the same club as he fellow French star. Griezmann is a very close friend to Pogba and with Mourinho making him the no. 1 priority in summer, his friendship with Pogba and presence of other French internationals at United would help a lot.
Although, Manchester United are not the only Premier League who are behind the 25 years old. Chelsea and Manchester City are also known to be huge admirers of the forward. There were reports in the certain section of media that Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola is looking to snatch the Atletico star from his old foe and City’s greatest nemesis, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho has listed him among the top most priorities to replace the fading United skipper, Wayne Rooney. Manchester United also have lacked a player of Griezmann’s quality up front since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chelsea have been a long term admirer of the Frenchman and looked to sign the player in 2014 but Atletico Madrid were reluctant to keep a hold of their player. Antonio Conte is reportedly again reigniting Chelsea’s interest to make a move for the 25 years old.
With Griezmann hinting that he’ll be interested in a move to Premier League in the near future, Premier League clubs will on alert to lure the Atletico star to England.
