Liverpool is preparing a third and final bid for the Bundesliga club Leipzig star Naby Keita who plays as a right-back.
Liverpool failed to get the signature of the player in first two attempts and this will be their final attempt to sign him. Although the German club hasn’t been interested in selling the player, Liverpool still remains optimistic that the final bid can be persuasive.
Liverpool are willing to spend big to convince Leipzig into selling their star asset. According to Winner Sports, the substantial final bid from Liverpool will be £74.5 million.
Liverpool will be paying 56 per cent mark up on the player’s £48 million release clause to convince the German club, according to Independent.
It is supposed that the offer will be in the interest of all the parties to be accepted.
Keita signed for Leipzig from the sister club Red Bull Salzburg a year ago for £12.5 million. He scored eight goals for Leipzig this season as the Bundesliga side finished second in the league below the champions of Germany, Bayern Munich. The 22-year-old is said to deeply desire a move to Anfield.
However, the Leipzig owner Diertich Mateschitz has said that ” We don’t sell any of our players just to get money. Lately, we got a £75 million offer for Naby Keita. No way!”
This clears that, no matter how big Liverpool is ready to spend for the 22-year-old right back, the owner of Leipzig will not be willing to sell the club star.
The club owner also believes that the player has a contract with the club and he will fulfil the contract.
