Florentino Perez is ready to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale to overhaul Real Madrid’s frontline
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Neymar and Mo Salah seems to have taken a twist. According to reports in Spanish media, Perez is looking to swap superstars to bring in the aforementioned duo instead of doing a deal involving only cash. The superstars in question are none other than Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Cristiano Ronaldo to make way for Neymar
Ronaldo is having his worst season in a Real Madrid shirt. According to reports in El Larguero, a radio show on Cadena SER, Florentino Perez is looking to part ways with his crown jewel to bring in the Brazilian superstar, Neymar. A Barcelona player up until last summer, Perez always harboured dreams of seeing Neymar in the famous white shirt. However, he knew that getting a player of his stature from a direct rival was almost impossible. Now that the 25-year-old has moved on to Paris Saint-Germain, Perez is trying everything he can to bring him in.
One big hurdle in Perez’s way is PSG’s unwillingness to sell the player they bought for €222 million just 6 months prior. Hence, the Madrid President is willing to include Cristiano Ronaldo in a deal for Neymar. PSG have been known admirers of the Portuguese and sees him as the perfect player to expand their global reach. Ronaldo would also not mind moving to the French capital as the pay-packet would be more than satisfactory.
Reports further state that Perez is willing to wait until the end of the World Cup in Russia to start working on the deal.
Gareth Bale will be let go to bring in Mo Salah

Gareth Bale’s injury-riddled time in Spain might finally be coming to an end with talks of his exit louder than ever. Don Balon is reporting that Real Madrid is willing to offer Gareth Bale + cash to bring in Liverpool winger Mo Salah. The Egyptian has only spent half a season at Anfield and has already proven his talent at the highest level. The 25-year-old already has had a hand in 28 goals for Liverpool all season. Meanwhile, Bale has not even had much of a season, making just 9 starts in total.
Liverpool’s stance on this matter is unknown as of yet. Many Premier League clubs have been linked with Bale but Liverpool haven’t been amongst them. Bale himself has expressed his intention to stay and fight for his place at Real.
Rarely, if ever, do swap deals of such proportion go through. With 4 big stars and 3 huge clubs involved don’t expect either of them to go through, at least not smoothly. However, after Neymar’s departure in the summer, no transfer is out of the realms of possibility.
