Manchester United spot Championship defender as a summer target

Manchester United are sitting second in the English Premier League points table. Earlier, they had mixed results across all competitions. The Red Devils were out of the UEFA Champions League.

In the wake of the dismal display, reports surfaced that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s days at the club are just numbered. However, the Red Devils turned things around. Now they are completely out of danger.

Everything is going well for them this season. Their most recent encounter in the Premier League ended in a 3-3 draw over Everton at Old Trafford. Man United conceded a goal in the stoppage minute as Dominic Calvert Lewin saved Everton.

The Red Devils locked horns with West Ham United at home in the 5th Round of the FA Cup clash. Scott McTominay scored a winner in the 97th minute. They played 23 games and won 13 games. Ole Gunnar’s team lost 4 games and played out 6 draws.

Manchester United recognize potential summer target:

Manchester United spot Championship defender Max Aarons as a summer transfer target

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have spotted new a right-back to bolster their defensive unit as per Todo Fichajes. The second-placed EPL team has recognized Max Aarons as their potential summer target such that they could enhance their options at right-back.

The talented right-back has by far lived up to his reputation which tempted Man United to show interest in him. Max Aarons showcased his sheen on the turf at Norwich City. Interestingly, they are deemed among the best teams to be promoted back to the English Premier League this campaign.

Needless to say, Max would leave the club in a bid to bolster his chances of sneaking into the England squad. However, when you play for a club like Manchester United, you are destined to make an entry into the England squad sooner or later.

The report from Todo Fichajes claims that Max is the Red Devils’ primary right-back target for the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Catalan giants Barcelona pulled the plug after roping in Sergino Dest. It will be quite interesting to see how this move pans out for the Red Devils.

On the other hand, Ole Gunnar’s team has the talented Aaron Wan-Bissaka at this position. But a team fighting in all departments certainly needs a lot of options. Max would certainly assist Man United to manage to clinch that in that particular area of the field.

Red Devils lock horns with West Brom:

However, Manchester United approach the FA Cup clash against West Ham very well. Scott McTominay scored a goal in the 97th minute. The Red Devils knocked the Hammers out of the competition. They will lock horns with West Brom in an away fixture on February 14, Sunday.
