Various franchises are busy convincing their primary players for retention. While many other players are adamant about leaving their respective franchises. This is because the players could fetch large money in the mega auction.

However, the two new IPL teams will get a chance to pick a certain amount of players before the mega auction. This will happen once the retentions list is submitted by the IPL franchises on November 30.

Moreover, Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchise is already active in that matter. They have already gone on to reach out to certain players before the submission of the retention list.

According to some reports, the Lucknow franchise has gone on to offer huge sums of money to KL Rahul. They went the Bangalore born player as he is their primary target. They have even gone on to contact Rashid Khan for a potential deal.

However, this has not gone down well in Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad management. Both the IPL teams have now gone on to complain about the Lucknow franchise to the BCCI.

A BCCI official said, “We don’t want to disturb the balance. You cannot avoid such things when there is fierce competition. But it’s not fair to the existing teams when they are trying to balance everything.”
