£25M-rated winger waiting for Arsenal as he is left out of Squad

The Brentford winger wants a transfer move to Arsenal amidst offer from Premier League club Crystal Palace.

The Gunners are very active this summer in the transfer market with a number of new signings. Arsenal are still keen to sign their prime target, Houssem Aouar from Lyon and Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid. However, both parties are demanding higher than what Arsenal wants to spend. Earlier today, Arsenal have reportedly submitted a new bid of around 50million euros for Aouar.

Arteta has already signed some quite good names in the market. Gabriel Magalhaes and Willian are the two signings that fans are too excited and happy about. Both players displayed impressive performance on their professional debut last Saturday. The French centre-back found the net on his debut via corner against Fulham.

While Brazilian winger Willian did make his mark at Emirates with three assists to his name. Fulham struggled to contain Arsenal’s attack and Parker couldn’t find a solution for it. It could’ve gone more worse for Parker’s side, but somehow Fulham managed to keep it to a 3-0 loss. Mikel Arteta played 3-4-3 formation against Fulham with Lacazette as ‘number 9.’

Not to mention, Xhaka’s work-rate in the middle of the park. He was threading the right balls at the right time for the forwards. He took his time and space to move the ball forward. Fulham could have given more effort to control the number of forwarding passes that were given away by Xhaka. The Swiss international faced lot of criticism last season.

However, he gave a wonderful comeback just like this new start. According to

90 min, Brentford forward Said Benrahma is closing on to a deal with Crystal Palace, but the Algerian still awaits for Arsenal to make an offer for the 25-year-old winger, who is at the good form at the EFL Championship last season.

Left out of the squad for consecutive weeks

The Algerian winger has left out of the squad yet again with rumors surrounding him to leave the Bees. Said Benrahma had shown eye-catching display last term at Championship with Brentford. The 25-year-old was one of the famous attacking trios in the English league last season. Commonly called as the ‘BMW’ took the side to almost qualifications. However, they failed to secure the promotions at the last minute.

The Bees looked sharp and strong with this attacking trio last season in the Championship. This ‘BMW’ shared 31 goals among them for Brentford last season. While Benrahma alone scored 17 goals from his end the last term. The Championship side has almost lost their trio, with their ‘W’ left them for Aston Villa. Now, Aston Villa is also eyeing to land Watkins partner Benrahma as well.

Benrahma was once again not in the squad for the game against the Saints. He was not even in the five substitutes included in the matchday squad. However, the side came out victorious with 2-0 in favor of Brentford.

Even after losing, they’re key forwards, Brentford are looking good for qualification next season. Watkins is luring fans already after his early performance at Villa Park.

Watkins scored the only goal for the home side against Manchester United on a friendly game. Trezeguet’s assist helped him to score the first goal and gel with his new teammates. However, it’s not a professional debut for him. With Watkins left and Benrahma set to depart Griffin Park, Brentford wants to keep hold of French forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Chouiar or Benrahma?

Both Chouiar and Benrahma has some connections to do with them. Both of these players have been left out of their squad in the past weeks. And, both these players are linked with a move to Arsenal. The last connection is that both are French academy products. Benrahma spent most of his career at French club Nice before making a permanent switch to the English league.

Chouiar is too young and could be a future star for the club if only he can adapt to the environment. While Benrahma has been in England for two seasons after striking the deal back in the summer of 2018. Comparing Benrahma and Chouiar, Arsenal needs a striker to replace Lacazette and not a winger.

Arteta’s side recently signed Willian, who displayed impressive performance on his debut. The 30-year-old French forward has been in and out of the game for Arsenal. While Arteta can play Aubameyang as number 9 rather than playing him wide. However, both of these linked players can play at centre-forward position as well. It’s now with Arsenal to whether spend on big names or go for budget signings.
