Bundesliga has been quite different. The usual table toppers Bayern aren’t leading the table as they have had tricky games and for the first time below the top 2 in Bundesliga. The usual runner ups Dortmund too has had some tough draws to swallow and is currently out of the top4. The surprise package for this 2022-23 season in the Bundesliga has been Union Berlin. The club from the capital city is having an astonishing start to its season so far. They are currently leading the Bundesliga table with 14 points.

1. Revierderby
One of the greatest rivalries of all time, Revierderby returns to Bundesliga this season. It is the name given to clashes between the Ruhr region of Germany. Thus it’s Dortmund vs Schalke. This derby was missing from the league since Schalke was relegated to the second division of German football. With Schalke returning to Bundesliga the Revierderby is back.
Schalke even after returning to Bundesliga hasn’t had a great start to the season. They have just got 1 win from 6 games played so far. Schalke as a team has also gone through a couple of changes and soon will be hoping to get the campaign back on track.
Dortmund is to have a tricky season. Initially, they were cruising in the Bundesliga. But they lost their way in between and bottled a few games. Dortmund in UCL this midweek had one of their best performances. But unfortunately, they succumbed to Erling Haaland’s brilliance.
But with Schalke winning their last game in the Bundesliga. On the other hand, Dortmund has lost their 2 games back to back in their two last games. It would be interesting to see how they bounce back against their city rivalry.

The former boss of Dortmund took over at RB Leipzig. In the first game, he faced he thrashed his former club Dortmund in style. Leipzig looks like an attacking outlet under Rose. In the Bundesliga so far they have had a mixed campaign winning 2 games and drawing 2 games.
Monchengladbach on other hand has had a similar season to their opponents Leipzig. They have had some hard-fought losses to swallow at the start of the season. With them facing Rb Leipzig this weekend it promises to be an exciting clash in the Bundesliga.
3. Bayern vs Augsburg
Our last clash on the list will be the Bayern game against Augsburg. Bayern Munich has had an under-par Bundesliga campaign so far. They aren’t winning games as usual like they used to do. For the first time in many years, they have had 3 straight back-to-back draws in the Bundesliga. Also for the first time in many years they aren’t leading the Bundesliga table. Bayern is currently 3rd in the league and would want to get to their usual position that is at the top. With a much-needed win against a tough Barcelona team midweek in the Champions League. Bayern will approach this Bundesliga game week with much-needed confidence and high morale.
Their opponents Augsburg have not started in great fashion this season. They have lost games on the trot and were fighting a relegation battle till the last game week. Currently, Augsburg sits just above the relegation zone. But with Augsburg getting a much-needed win last game week. They too will go into this Bayern game with hopes especially keeping in mind that Bayern has been sloppy in the league this season.
