The thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League has come to a close at the United Arab Emirates. Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals to lift their fifth IPL title. The board made a bold move by hosting the lucrative tournament in the UAE.
Thanks to BCCI for successfully hosting the IPL in the foreign nation and making it a grand success. The upcoming edition of the IPL is five months away from the start. There were advanced talks that BCCI is planning for the mega auction for the next season.
There were also reports that BCCI is planning to feature the ninth team in the world’s premier tournament. The team hails from Ahmedabad. The corporate body expressed their interest to make use of Sardar Patel Stadium as their home venue to host games.
Earlier, there were reports that the board doesn’t have much time to conduct the auction. In a recent development, it was learned that there will be a mega auction. 1. Chennai Super Kings
CSK will like to retain their captain, MS Dhoni. Under his captaincy, CSK won three IPL trophies. However, they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time this season. Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar are the other two players CSK should retain in the next season. Jadeja is a terrific all-rounder where he can offer three-dimensional gameplay.
