Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has started his season with bang. Football is the game where nothing is certain, but Jose Mourinho is as close as you can get to anything certain in modern football. He has brought in his players and each one of them has already made up his place in the first team, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his arrival with 3 goals in 2 Premier league games. Eric Bailly was MOTM in United’s 2 competitive games. Paul Pogba too looked great in his first game and it’s not long when we’ll see Henrikh Mkhitaryan starting for the Red Devils.
But, with these arrivals there are some certain departures that will happen and we look at some of the possible ones.

1. Marcos Rojo

The Argentine was signed up by Louis Van Gaal after he had a great world cup with Argentina, reaching to finals. He started his United career well but faded later and injuries haven’t helped him in anyway too.
He forced a move to United and doesn’t look in any mood to leave the club himself, but it’s certain that he’s way down the pecking order and if he wants to give his career a lift then it’ll much better for him to force a move out of United to get some playing time and get his career back on track.

2. Ashley Young –

The English International never reached to the heights which was expected if him when he moved to United from Aston Villa. He has always been targetted by footballing critics and fans too.
Under Louis Van Gaal he looked resurrected and was one of the best performers for Manchester United under Dutchman’s first season. Having replaced Di Maria in the first team it looked like as if he’s finally hitting the heights. But, then the next season he was placed to play the fullback role and with few injuries he lost his way again.
Now, under Mourinho it’s almost certain that he has no plans for him and with age hitting the 30s a move away from Old Trafford is the best option for the Englishman.

When Sir Alex signed him up from Blackburn Rovers he compared him to a certain Duncan Edwards. With such high expectations came the risk of failing, albeit a good start to his career like his performance against Real Madrid when he shut down Cristiano Ronaldo, it looked as if United have a gem of player at their helm. Then came the injuries in his career and his career got completely derailed. Everytime it looked like he’s ready for a comeback, he hit some injury. With Smalling, Bailly and Blind all doing great at the centre back positions, his chance in the United first team look very bleak and it won’t be a surprise if he leaves the club, with age still being this side a move away could be a boon.
