3 Things Jose Mourinho Needs To Do To Get Manchester United’s Season Back On Track

José Mourinho’s arrival at Manchester United after a dreary title defensive season at Chelsea had a lot for both Manchester United and Jose Mourinho. United have been struggling ever since Sir Alex’s departure and have miserably fallen by their own standards. Mourinho on the other hand won the League title with Chelsea in his second stint at the club and then the following season things didn’t seem to be happening for him as a lot of unrest was going on in eaand around the club and eventually the sword fell on Mourinho as he got the sack, again.

Mourinho life at United started pretty well as he had a good pre season and summer business with a good start in the League but then it all derailed and the weakness started getting exposed. He’s again facing a similar sort of situation as he found himself in at Chelsea. If Mourinho doesn’t want to find himself in the similar situation as he found himself at Chelsea then he might have to make some changes and here are three changes we think could make a whole lot of positive difference.

1. Finding a perfect system.

One problem that Mourinho has been facing at United is not able to find the perfect system at to fit the best players available. He although is playing with a 4-2-3-1 formation but United don’t look too comfortable in it and he needs to sort it out soon.

Given the players that he possesses at United a switch to 4-3-3 could be better for him.

2. Taking a stand on Paul Pogba.

Slashing out so much money on Pogba hasn’t been too good for United and Mourinho so far and that is mostly down to his position and his partner. The Frenchman recently limped off the pitch, which just made things worse for the Red Devils.

Pogba had Pirlo and Vidal at then Khedira and Marchisio at Juventus in a midfield 3 where he played on the left hand side of the midfield 3. Mourinho needs to address this issue and find a perfect partner and position for him.

He has been paired with Fellaini, Herrera, Carrick so far in a midfield pivot and he hasn’t been so good in that deeper role. He needs a controlling midfi around him who could pull the strings as Pogba does his tricks and works his magic.

3. Giving Mkhitaryan a chance.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the most creative player in the whole of Europe last season as he racked up mad amounts of assists last season at Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United have been lacking a player who could create things for the other forwards and Mkhitaryan was brought in to fill that gap but due to his injury and other issues he has hardly played for United so far in 3 months and maybe it’s time Mourinho gets him back as he looks fit and fresh coming back from his injury.

Mkhitaryan’s creativity could really drive United’s season forward and Mourinho needs to get him back on the scene to stop United from falling further.
