Courtois failed to understand Conte’s decision to sub off Hazard against Manchester United.
Hazard was substituted in second half against Manchester United, with lingard cruised United to victory scoring the winner just two minutes later.
This made the Belgian left furious and pointed the blame at his manager for costing his side the crucial match.
“After our goal, we conceded a counter-attacking goal just like last Tuesday but in the second half we had less of the ball, but even then we should never have lost this match,” he told Belgian TV channel Play Sports.
“If you do not do the small things well in top matches, you lose, which is what happened today.
“I have no explanation for the substitution. I did not expect it, but it’s the manager’s choice. He’ll explain it. I can’t look into his head, said courtois.
“Of course you want players like Eden 90 minutes on the pitch. He can always bring something extra.”
Courtois has 18 months left on his current contract but has courted interest from Real Madrid, he admitted for his keen interest in returning to the Spanish capital where his family still live.
