The Blues have been hit with a transfer ban for the next two transfer windows and it could not have come at a worse time for London based club.
With the manager’s future in doubt, the main-man all set to leave for Real Madrid in the summer, club owner not allowed in the United Kingdom, Chelsea could have used a better news than transfer ban for the next two windows. But as things stand, the Blues will not be allowed to sign any players until the summer of 2020.
So what can happen during that time? What should we expect from the Chelsea Football Club while they try to cope with this situation? Here are five things that are likely to happen:
5. Pulisic becomes a crucial player for Chelsea:
There is one thing Chelsea fans do not have to worry about – The arrival of Christian Pulisic. The USA international’s signing was completed in January and the transfer ban will not stop him from coming to London in the summer.
And that just might be the best thing for the club. With Eden Hazard’s future in doubt, (We’ll get to that later) Willian and Pedro nowhere near their best, Pulisic could become a key asset for the Blues on the wings or in the attacking midfield.
The 20-year old has always wanted to play in the Premier League and will be motivated to prove himself after being side-lined at Dortmund due to Jadon Sancho. And Pulisic could really freshen up the mood in Chelsea dugout just like Sancho did at Dortmund. Sarri’s men are nowhere near motivated right now and they need a new and exciting prospect amongst them to spark things up.
Will he really do all those things? Only the time will tell. But there is nothing wrong in expecting it from a player who already has 23 international caps at the age of 20.
