6 players Manchester United could sign from clubs who are relegated

Manchester United could try and benefit from Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich’s relegation.

It is no secret that the club is looking to recruit new players. Manchester United do not have much support on the bench. The club is in the Champions League next season. And there will a lot of matches to play.

United needs good players to adjust for injuries and rotation. Also, the club won’t get much rest as after the Europa League there will be just a short 2-week break. That is considering they go all the way to the final.

But all 3 of the teams who have been relegated do have some good quality players. And now due to financial burdens, they will have to settle for less money for their star players. Also, players who know they deserve better will look to leave.

Here’s a list of all the players United could look upon-

1) Nathan Ake – Bournemouth

Nathan Ake is an ex- Chelsea academy graduate. The natural left-footed center back has been one of the only consistent players in Bournemouth. Chelsea will surely be regretting their decision to let go of him.

Ake was rumored to leave even if Bournemouth survived. Nut now the Cherries will have to settle for a lesser fee for Ake. Ole said to Ake, “We need a left-footed center back, so keep going”. If United are serious Ake could be available for a figure of around £35 million.

2) Todd Cantwell – Norwich

Cantwell alongside Pukki was the only real source of attack for Norwich City this season. Cantwell impressed at the beginning of the season but then hit a dry patch. But overall at just 22, he did well considering how the team was playing.

Cantwell has 6 goals and 2 assists with Norwich City. He might do slightly better if he is in a better team. Cantwell could be available for around £20 million.

3) Isamaila Sarr

Isamaila Sarr is the one upon whom Watford fans often looked at to provide inspiration. The young winger has been great for Watford this season. He has 6 goals and 6 assists to his name.

He also scored the winning goal against Liverpool. As the Hornets became the first team to beat Liverpool this season. Sarr is just 20 years old and would cost somewhere around £30 m if United try to sign.

4) Emiliano Buendia – Norwich City

Emiliano Buendia on Manchester United’s radar.

Buendia is one of those players whom clubs are scouting right now. He was the source of creative passing for the Norwich team. In this season he has 1 goal and 8 assists to his name. He is 4 on the list of Premier League players to take on defenders in a dribble.

United when they do not play Matic and Pogba look like they need someone with some creative vision. And Buendia could play that role. But according to TalkSport, Liverpool and Arsenal will look to provide competition to United.

5) David Brooks – Bournemouth

David brooks have had an injury-prone season this year. And that might be one of the reasons the Cherries are not in the Premier League now. Last season he has 7 goals and 5 assists to his name.

But this season due to his injuries he was only able to make 9 appearances. If the 23-year-old can regain his fitness he would be a very good addition to the United team. According to Manchester Evening News, United are tracking Joshua King and his teammate David Brooks.

6) Jamal Lewis – Norwich City

Jamal Lewis could add depth to the left back position for Manchester United.

Lewis has been great at the left back position for Norwich. He secured his spot and played for almost the whole season. Considering the injury to Luke Shaw United find themselves in the need of a left back.

Williams has shown great potential but he does not look ready for all the first team games. That too with very less breaks. Lewis could provide a good alternative for Manchester United.
