Real Madrid is willing to bolster their squad with more young world-class players across the world.

The latest name who is coming from Bundesliga is Bayern Munich‘s left-back Alphonso Davies.

Davies is said to be one of the fastest defenders in the world with experience of winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid has a brilliant squad, but they are injecting fresh blood in every department.

Los Blancos won the last year’s Champions League despite having odds against them. They beat some of the world’s best teams like PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool. They also won the La Liga title with a 13 points gap over their rival Barcelona.

This season, they are also determined to defend the La Liga title, as they are currently second in the table with 22 points same as league leader Barcelona.

After legendary left-back Marcelo’s departure, Madrid has not brought a replacement at Santiago Bernabeu. Ferland Mendy is arguably their first choice, but they don’t have any extra player to cover his injury.

Mendy does not have a good record with injury, and he missed some vital games last season. Mendy is defensively solid, but h does not prefer to go forward to support counterattacks, which is a drawback of him as a modern full-back.

While replying to a fan’s comment on MARCA’s Twitch channel, journalist Jose Felix Diaz revealed “From Bayern, the name they have most targeted is Davies”. The fan asked him about the possibility of Kimmich’s arrival at Santiago Bernabeu. But Diaz thinks that Blancos are monitoring Davies’s contract situation.

The Canadian superstar’s contract with Bayern Munich will end in 2025. Davies is clearly an upgrade of Mendy, as his speed is very deadly for both attacking and defending.

Davies joined Bayern Munich from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2018. Bayern paid a fee of around $13.5 million which will reach a total of $22 million with bonuses. The Canada international first played for Bayern’s youth side. He made his debut for the senior team in a 2-1 win against Union Berlin in 2019.

Since his debut, Davies has registered 21 assists and 5 goals in 127 games. His performance for his country is also very impressive with 32 caps won for Canada. The Canadian has appeared 12 times this season under Julian Nagelsmann.

The Bundesliga ‘Roadrunner’ will be the main man to lead Canada in Qatar World Cup, after qualifying for the first time since 1986.

Real Madrid’s stance over Jude Bellingham seems clear, as they are keen to add the Dortmund midfielder. But the Spanish giant will not miss the opportunity if the chance of signing Alphonso Davies arrives. Bayern is in no hurry to sell their prized asset, as his contract will expire in the summer of 2025.
