AC Milan news: Rafael Leao has established himself among the most promising attackers in Serie A since joining the Milan outfit from French club Lille in 2019.
He has played 104 league games for the Rossoneri so far, registering 27 goals and 23 assists. Leao won the Seria A Football of the Year accolade last term and was also included in the Serie A Team of the season 2021-22.
The Portugal international also finished 14th in 2022’s Ballon d’Or final rankings. His performances at the San Siro also caught the attention of top clubs across Europe.
Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City have also shown interest in signing him in recent weeks. They are expected to make an approach to sign him during the upcoming transfer windows.

The Rossoneri president Frederic Massara is confident of extending Rafael Leao’s contract at the San Siro. His current contract expires at the end of next season.
While speaking to the media, he said (h/t Fabrizio Romano): “We’re confident to reach an agreement with Leão and extend his contract.
We’ll try to find a solution to proceed with Rafa for a long time. His father’s here tonight, we’ll speak during the dinner”
Leao has been in excellent form this season, registering four goals and four assists in nine Serie A appearances. He has also assisted two goals in four UEFA Champions League outings.
AC Milan is interested in signing Cody Gakpo
According to Fichajes, AC Milan have entered the race to sign PSV attacker Cody Gakpo. The Dutch international is currently among the most sought-after attackers in Europe, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Leeds United having all shown interest in signing him in recent weeks.
Gakpo has been in excellent form since breaking into PSV’s first team during the 2017-18 season. He has played 153 games in all competitions for the Eindhoven outfit so far, registering 55 goals and 44 assists.

The 23-year-old attacker won the 2021-22’s Dutch Footballer of the Year accolade. He will play a key role for the Netherlands team during the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
