Serie-A giants AC Milan are finally ready to complete the transfer deal of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech after failing to convince Chelsea the last summer.
Hakim Ziyech joined the academy of Heerenveen at a very early age. He then graduated from the Heerenveen academy and was promoted to the main team.
Ziyech played two seasons for the Dutch club before signing for Twente. The Moroccan soon became one of the mainstays for Twente and consistently scored a lot of goals for them. He stayed two seasons in Twente before joining Dutch giants Ajax.
In Ajax, Ziyech established himself as one of the best wingers in the world. He played a big role in Ajax’s 2018-19 UEFA Champions League campaign where the club entered the semi-finals after a lot of years. Finally, at the start of the 2020-21 season, the Moroccan joined Chelsea when the Blues paid €44 million to Ajax.

Now according to a report from Calciomercato, AC Milan management had a meeting with Hakim Ziyech’s lawyer in the last few days.
Ziyech was one of the main targets for Milan in the last summer transfer window. The Italian club even sent a bid of €25 +5 million for the winger. Chelsea however rejected that bid and kept Hakim Ziyech.
After that, the Blues sacked German manager Thomas Tuchel. They brought in British manager Graham Potter to replace the Champions League-winning gaffer. But Ziyech has so far failed to make any impact under Potter.
Ziyech has so far made only five appearances for the Blues and is now reportedly looking for a move out of the club. Now it has been understood that this time Chelsea are ready to release the winger if a decent offer arrives.
Now AC Milan are the defending Serie-A champions. They got a decent start to their season. With twenty-three points from the first ten matches, the Rossoneri are currently in the third position in the table.
Milan management however knows that they need more incomings in the winter transfer window if they want to convert their good start to another title. So looking at Ziyech’s situation, they restarted the negotiations.
And now this time around, it seems like the deal will be finally completed. One of the most creative players in his position, a lot of creativity to the AC Milan team. In return, he will get an ample amount of game time from the Italian side.
Now Hakim Ziyech is going to be a part of the Moroccan team in the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. he is one of the main players for Morocco and his form will determine their progression in the next stages.
