Real Madrid have shed considerable money from their bank account in true Florentino Perez style and the midfield might be the next area of concern for the Spanish side.
To say that Real Madrid are spending money is an understatement. Florentino Perez has brought his checkbook out, after a few years of subdued spending, to facilitate a much-needed shake-up at the club. The Spanish giants have already added Hazard, Jovic, Militao and Mendy. And there is no sign of the spending easing off with Zidane targetting the arrival of another midfielder.
Here are the possible options the Royal Whites might be looking at
1. Paul Pogba
Pogba rejoined United in 2016 for a then world record £89million fee. The 26-year-old has shown glimpses of brilliance at Old Trafford but it hasn’t always been a happy homecoming. Pogba has been flirting with the prospect of moving to Spain with Real Madrid being his preferred destination.
With the powers of Luka Modric waning off, Zidane might want to replace the Croat’s output. Pogba had singlehandedly carried the United midfield. With the likes of Kroos and Casemiro alongside, the Frenchman might finally fulfil his potential and start adding to his trophy cabinet.
