Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane becomes the everyone’s favourite after the win over Australia and gave an emotional speech about two bowlers.
India won Border Gavaskar trophy for the consecutive two years and defeated Australia on their soil. First, Virat Kohli was the captain during the previous tour of Australia before the IPL 2020 and won the series in Australia for the first time as a captain.
In this 2020-21 series, Virat Kohli was present for one match and rest three matches are lead by Ajinkya Rahane. After the massive loss in a first test match, Australians expected to have a whitewash over India and remaining three matches also.
But Indians bounce back very hard and won the second test match. Third was also in the hands of host but they saved it by drawing the match. At that time, half the Indian team was injured and tailender like Ravi Ashwin stood on crease with Vihari for almost 45 overs.
Last test match at Gabba was the series-winning match for both the teams. Gabba was the fortress of the Aussies as they never lose a single match at stadium since past 32 years. Fortunately, Indians were lucky and breaks their unbeaten streak at Gabba.
In this match bowlers did the perfect work as India expect from them. Whereas, batters also showed their class especially tailenders like Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar. Including Rishabh Pant’s not out knock awards him player of the match.
Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane displayed his emotions in the Indian dressing room after the series win match at Gabba. He thank and motivated all the players for the future matches and also appreciated their on-field action.
Ajinkya Rahane’s heartfelt message for Kartik Tyagi and Kuldeep Yadav.
However, he disclosed the message for the two Indian bowlers Kartik Tyagi and Kuldeep Yadav. Though India player almost 20 different players in 4 test matches both of them not played a single test match in this series.
Despite Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant record against Aussies he was benched for all the matches. As he had scalped five wickets in his last match against Kangaroos. Whereas, Kartik Tyagi was the net bowler for India.
Rahane said, “This is a massive moment for all of us. What happened in Adelaide, how we came back from Melbourne onwards was good to see. Everyone did their effort, everyone contributed, it was not about one or two individuals. I just want to mention Kuldeep Yadav and Kartik Tyagi, “ Rahane said in speech uploaded by BCCI on social media.
“Kuldeep, I know it was tough for you, you did not play a game here but your attitude was really good. Your time will come, just keep working hard. Kartik you were fantastic, ” Ajinkya Rahane added in his speech.

Kuldeep Yadav might be the main bowler in the home series.
Though he didn’t get a single chance against Australia he might became the lead bowler in the home series. India hosted England from the 5th February onwards with different venues for the match. Due to injury Ravindra Jadeja is ruled out from this series.
So Kuldeep Yadav might join Ravi Ashwin as a lead bowler in Indian spinning unit. First two test matches scheduled at Chennai and this stadium is in favour of spinners. Hence, Kuldeep, Washington Sundar and Ravi Ashwin will lead the Indian side at Chennai.
