New Bayern Munich boss, Carlo Ancelotti has made it clear to Paris Saint-Germain that his club will not consider any bid for selling their star striker Robert Lewandowski in the near future.
The star striker has been linked with big European clubs including Real Madrid and PSG with the PSG thinktank considering replacing Zlatan Ibrahimovic with Robert Lewandowski. However, the transfer could not happen due to Bayern’s clear intentions of not selling the 28-year-old.
Nevertheless, the French champions have not given up on Lewandowski and are continuing to track him. In contrast the Bayern manager, Ancelotti wants Lewandowski to sign a new contract with the Bavarians soon, with three year still on his contract.
“I would not trade in Lewandowski for anyone,” the former Real Madrid boss spoke to L’Equipe.
“Lewandowski going to PSG is impossible. That will never happen. Well, maybe in five or 10 years.
“I think he will sign a contract renewal with Bayern.”
Moreover, the Bavarian coach is thought to be an admirer of PSG midfielder, Marco Verratti since Ancelotti’s stint at the Paris club, but the 57-year-old has accepted that a move of Verratti away from PSG is unrealistic, since Verratti recently extended his contract which will keep him at the Parc des Princes till 2021.
“Marco is a great player. He always manages to surprise me,” he added.
“He angered me numerous times, but he is unique. He has a great future ahead of him, there is no doubt that.
“It is only normal that he has signed a new deal with PSG. Good players generally stay at good clubs.
“He has renewed until 2021? Wow. That makes it impossible to sign him.”
