Marcelo may follow Cristiano Ronaldo on his path from Madrid to Turin in the near future, with reports claiming he would like to join his former team-mate at Juventus.
Real Madrid star Marcelo has his eye on a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, according to reports. The 30-year-old has won four La Liga titles and picked up as many Champions League winners medals since joining Los Blancos from Brazilian club Fluminense in 2007.
Two years later Ronaldo joined the Spanish giants – striking up a close relationship with the Brazilian ever since. Their nine-year spell working alongside each other ended in July when Ronaldo made the move from the Spanish capital to Turin in a £99m deal.
The Brazil international, previously represented by Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, has started every one of Madrid’s league matches so far this season. Julen Lopetegui’s men have taken maximum points from their opening three games. Juve have made an identical start to Real in Serie A – with Ronaldo also featuring in every one of their fixtures.
It would be an interesting move as he is the best left-back in the world right now. Though he’s 30 right now but the connection that they have had together at Madrid will give a lot of benefit to Juventus in their quest for the Champions League. But Madrid won’t let him to go that easily. They might demand Alex Sandro in return who is also considered one of the best full backs. So, Marcelo is not the one who has the power.
