As the Blues miss out on signing star striker Romelu Lukaku, it is believed that Antonio Conte is furious over bringing him in and now has his eyes set on Torino F.C striker- Andrea Belotti.
With reports coming in about the hot transfers, Manchester United have been able to attract the Everton star and is reported to have signed a deal worth £75 million and now hopes to make their attack more fierce. It is also known now that he is already undergoing a medical in Los Angeles ahead of the final signing of the contract. He is expected to join José Mourinho’s squad when they arrive in the city on Sunday for the club’s five-game pre-season tour of America.
Tug of war continues:
On the other side, Alvaro Morata who is still being linked with the interest of Conte to buy him this season does not seem to go the right way as now Antonio looks like he has better plans for the team and wants to sign the 23-year-old Italian striker of Torino F.C who had a great season in the Italian league, scoring 26 goals and providing 7 assists in 35 matches.
Recently Manchester United were also interested in Belotti but now have shifted their interest elsewhere. With this, the path is definitely a bit easier for Antonio Conte, and if he fails to bag this player now, it will be a huge failure in Antonio Conte’s part.
Belotti will not be a cheap bargain for Chelsea as Torino president Urbano Cairo has passed his statement that any team wanting to sign Belotti will have to pay his £87million release clause.
Thus striking such a deal will cost them but with such great goal scoring abilities, the player is bound to be costly in this ever-growing inflation in the transfer deals. Hope that Conte will be able to persuade Roman Abramovic to spend heavily on this striker and make this striker fill in the place of Diego Costa.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger also showed interest in the Torino’s Belotti. Although he didn’t seem very enthusiastic about it and only requested that he be kept informed about any offers for Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
A quote from an Italian source read:
Arsenal have an option for Belotti from Torino, and he is available for 60m Euros. That is to get him now before any other teams come in for him, but Arsenal will not pay that amount just yet.
They will wait to see what happens with him this season, and think about moving for him again in the summer.
