On November 12, the Indian cricket team led by Virat Kohli will fly to Australia for the full-fledged tour. India will play 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is, and 4 Tests. Kohli will return to India after playing the first Test match at Adelaide Oval. The first match will be played from December 17 to December 21.
Rohit Sharma was earlier not named in any of the Team India squads due to a hamstring injury. In the latest development, he has been named in India’s Test squad for the Australia tour. Rohit has been rested for ODIs and T20Is.
India’s tour of Australia kicks off with the ODI series, T20I series followed by the Test series. The first ODI of the three-match ODI series will go all guns blazing at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 27, Friday.
Virat Kohli cleans his spikes ahead of overseas tour

Meanwhile, India and RCB captain Virat Kohli is at the United Arab Emirates with his teammates. Kohli took his team to the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bangalore were outsmarted by SRH in the Eliminator.
Royal Challengers Bangalore started this season’s IPL on a positive note. They won 7 games out of the 10 games and were placed second in the IPL points table. But, they failed miserably in the finishing stages of the IPL.
This year might not be RCB’s year but they will be looking forward to making a grand comeback the next April. On November 10, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma updated her status on the Instagram platform.
Anushka Sharma posted an image of Virat Kohli cleaning his spikes ahead of the Australia tour. She posted a picture along with a caption. “Caught the husband diligently cleaning his muddy spikes before the tour,” she wrote.

Kohli to return to India after the first Test
Two days ago, BCCI gave an important update on Virat Kohli’s participation in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. The Indian captain will miss the last three Test matches against Australia.
Virat Kohli and his wife are expecting their first child early in January. So, he has been granted paternity leave by the BCCI. Kohli will return to India after playing the first Test match.
Earlier, a top BCCI official on the conditions of anonymity said that family is the priority. Virat Kohli’s absence is a big blow for Team India for the last three Tests. There were reports that Rohit Sharma will lead Team India for the last three Tests.
“At the selection committee meeting held on October 26th, 2020, Mr. Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first Test against Australia in Adelaide,” BCCI said in a release.
