Barcelona Talisman Lionel Messi has been left feeling betrayed after Argentina starlet expressed his wish to join Real Madrid.
Paulo Dybala was tipped to reunite with his fellow countrymen at Barcelona with his Juventus future shrouded in uncertainty. The forward has fallen down the pecking order in Turin and with Gonzalo Higuain starting regularly for the Turin based club, a parting of the ways could be in future plans.
But according to Spanish publications Diario Gol, Messi has learned that Dybala has no intentions of playing alongside him at Barcelona. Instead of playing at Camp Nou, the 24-year-old would prefer to play at Santiago Bernabeu with Real Madrid. Los Blancos are set to overhaul their squad after a torrid campaign under Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane is under pressure to win some silverware, but the domestic honor looks unlikely as they are already knocked out of the Copa del Rey and La Liga looks impossible as they are 17 points behind the leaders.
Los Blancos have endured a torrid season under Zidane, with European champions sitting fourth in the La Liga even after their mesmerizing win at the Santiago Bernabeu. Pressure has continued to increase particularly after shocking Copa del Rey defeat to Leganes. The Frenchmen has also admitted that his job will be at risk if Madrid loses to Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League’s last 16 ties.
Regardless, Real will spend and, with top targets such as Harry Kane and Neymar unlikely to leave their respective clubs, Dybala has emerged as an alternative for them. And Diario Gol now reports that Dybala is desperate to swap Juventus for Real Madrid. It is said that Dybala has already said Messi that he wants to play alongside Ronaldo at Santiago Bernabeu.
While there are also reports suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is all set to leave Los Blancos with Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign the Portuguese. But it is said that Dybala wants to play alongside Ronaldo for at least one year before he departs.

Speaking last month, Juventus chief Giuseppe Marotta highlighted Italian Giants desire to keep their star player. But the chief admitted that he’ll allow Dybala to leave if he wants to. Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, Marotta said: “He is a very strong player that we rely on a lot. Dybala will undoubtedly remain at Juve because we do not need to sell anyone – unless the same player asks.”
It won’t come as a surprise to anyone if he joins Barcelona or Real Madrid as he is looking forward to trying a new challenge abroad and there aren’t any names bigger then Barcelona and Real Madrid for now. The Argentine is surely a world class talent and he can improve any squad with his game.
Dybala will surely be a good fit at Real Madrid. The Argentine is a kind of player who can surely put an end to Real Madrid’s struggles this season. His style of play will surely see him fit well in Real Madrid’s attacking line.
