Argentine forward opens up about transfer talks with Spurs and Man Utd

Juventus and Argentine forward were rumored to leave Turin and join Spurs in the summer. The forward comments about the transfer talks include Manchester United as well.

Paulo Dybala was on the verge of joining Spurs during the transfer deadline with Spurs eager to lure him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But his recent comments about the rumors won’t go well with Manchester United and Spurs fans.

According to Football Italia, the 25-year-old has mentioned that it wasn’t a “nice thing” to see him linked with the clubs that he didn’t want to join in the summer.

Dybala has been in and out of the side but recently scored the all-important goal against Inter Milan on Sunday, which ended with a 2-1 scoreline in favor of Juventus. The Argentine is feeling good under Sarri after a tough season last year.

Spurs are still eager to make a new bid for the forward once the transfer window reopens this January. However, Dybala wants to continue his career with Bianconeri. Both Pochettino and Ole are looking to strengthen their squad by bringing in reinforcements.

Paulo Dybala said to Football Italia that, “It wasn’t an easy summer. Hearing your name linked to every team and place, where you don’t want to go, isn’t a nice thing.”

“But this is football, even before the transfer window opened I said: “I want to stay here.” I wanted to stay, I wanted to play here and continue my career here at Juventus. I think I can still give a lot and I showed a glimpse of that against Inter.”

He also added that ” I feel less weight on my shoulders and clam mentally. Sarri and Allegri have different ways of playing and it shows. With Allegri, we did so many things, but I think we played a bit more attacking with Sarri and we play the ball more.”

Authors’ Take:-

Both Mauricio Pochettino and Ole Solskjaer are having a tough start to the season and looking for good reinforcements as well. Dybala has clearly mentioned about his stay and any bids in new year won’t do any good. Manchester United and Spurs need to find alternative options for the January window.

The Red Devils are placed in 12th position after eight games played this season with just nine goals. While Spurs have leaked more goals at the back. Pochettino’s side has already conceded 12 goals in their eight games this season. So perhaps they’re focus should shift to bring in some good defenders in January.
