Arsenal 3-2 Swansea : Player Ratings Of A Narrow Win For The 10-Man Gunners’ Side

Bob Bradley’s faced first defeat in his first game as the new manager of Swansea City. Arsenal knicked in a hard fought and nervy 3-2 and that was more down to their self created problems. Arsenal with the win went level on points with City and just behind on goal difference.
Gunners had a great start to their game and were really dominant in the first half. Walcott opened up the scoring and kept on his great for, he again put in another to give Arsenal a comfortable cushion, until a terrible mishap led Sigurdsson opening up the scoring for Swansea.

Granit Xhaka’s sending off in the second half opened up the game for Swansea but they failed to convert some glorious chances and Arsenal won the game 3-2.

Petr Cech – 7/10

Used his experience when needed and made some crucial saves in the second half. Conceded 2 goals but he could’ve hardly done anything about them.

Hector Bellerin – 7/10

As usual, was great in his forward play. Was total menace down the right flank. Could’ve done better defensively.

Shokdran Mustafi – 7/10

Used his strength well and was warrior for the Gunners after the sending of Xakha.

Laurent Koscielny – 7/10

His challenge on Barrow was absolutely top notch and is forming a great understanding with Mustafi.

Nacho Monreal – 5/10

Barrow gave him a very hard time and he looked to be chasing shao at times. Wasn’t usually at his reliable best.

Santi Cazrola – 7/10

He was running the show for Arsenal until 70th minute. Absolutely beautiful to watch.

Granit Xakha – 4/10

Horrendous game. Gave away the ball for the first goal and then got sent for a stupid challenge.

Theo Walcott – 8/10

Best player for Arsenal, kept on his goal scoring form going with two beautiful goals. Could’ve had a hat-trick but missed the chance.

Mesut Ozil – 7/10

Making things happen for Arsenal. Scored a thunderous volley to celebrate his 28th birthday.

Alexis Sanchez – 7/10

He’s been in great form so far this season in his new role. Made some incisive passes and displayed a marauding performance.

Alex Iwobi – 7/10

The youngster has been a revelation so far this season. Some good linkup play and used his pace well to get past Swansea players.

Francis Coquelin – 5/10

Was sent in by Arsene Wenger to shut down Swansea but Xakha sending off changed the game. Ciuodnt affect the game as expected.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 5/10

Kept the ball well to see off the game.
