London based giants Arsenal and Chelsea are in the race to sign Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, with the Londoners hoping to reinforce their squad defensively.
The champions of England and the Gunners are not having the best of seasons and have succumbed to the dominance of the Manchester based sides.

Due to this, they are keen on fortifying their squads and are looking to get back into the race to win more titles, with a top player like the Atletico Madrid man on their radar.
The 25 year old Slovenian international is one of the best in Europe at present and is wanted by a host of top clubs across the continent. He has been attracting interest from a lot of big clubs, with Liverpool said to be looking at the possibility of signing him too.
Courtois has not been in the best of form this term and Petr Cech is beyond his prime, it seems, due to which the best thing to do for both clubs be to add another high quality keeper.
Hopefully, with the arrival of Oblak at either club, there might be a healthy competition for places and the overall standard of the performances might go up.
Jurgen Klopp is also not impressed with Simon Mignolet and his summer signing Karius, which could force him to sign a new star between the sticks.
With that said and done, neither club will want to give up on the opportunity to add the world-class goalie to their squad, as they look to secure more silverware in the days to come.
This transfer saga will surely go on for quite some time, as all these top clubs will want to sign him. If the Premier League calls, the player will surely consider leaving and the La Liga giants should consider cashing in on him, if he does intend to leave at the end of the current campaign.
With all three clubs playing second fiddle to Manchester City in the league and still fighting hard to secure a top four spot, they will be disappointed with their current showing and will want to improve soon.
