Arsenal are just four points off the relegation zone. No matter how easy the opposition is, the Gunners are finding new ways of losing the game. This has been the case so far. The pressure is slowly piling up for Mikel Arteta who still hasn’t found ways to get his team back on track.
After winning two trophies, Arsenal was nowhere close to being a competitive team this season. The Gunners lacked the teeth and firepower to have a go at the opposition teams. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang managed to score just 3 goals where the overall team scored 12 goals this season.
This is their worst ever start to their Premier League campaign since the 1974 season. There was neither spunk nor ambition in their approach. They have struggled to score goals in open play which is indeed frustrating to every Arsenal fan.
The majority of the fans want Mesut Ozil to be on the team as soon as possible. Arsenal are crying for creativity in the midfield. With Ozil currently out of Arteta’s plans, there are doubts whether Ozil will stay at the club as his contract is less than just 12 months away from expiring.

Ozil’s absence has left a huge void in Arsenal’s strike force department. The midfielder is someone who can give sensational through passes, assists, key passes, or sub assists. He hasn’t kicked a ball since the previous season was suspended in March amid the COVID-19 epidemic.
Their recent defeat to Manchester City at home added more fuel to the fire. Arsenal was knocked out by Pep Guardiola’s team in the Carabao Cup quarter-final as they beat the Gunners by 4-1 at the Emirates. Arsenal’s recent Premier League defeat came against Everton at Goodison Park where they lost by 2-1.
Arsenal backed to bring back Arsene Wenger
Arsenal are going through a dreadful season under Mikel Arteta. They are 15th in the points table with 14 points. If the team keeps performing like this, then there is no chance of seeing them play Premier League next season.
Meanwhile, experts reckon that Mikel Arteta’s days at Arsenal are just numbered. Earlier, former Arsenal winger Perry Groves stated that the Spaniard has just a week to save his job.
Recently, former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong believes Arsene Wenger should make a comeback as Arsenal manager if Mikel Arteta fails to meet the expectations.
Wenger is the perfect manager for Arsenal if Arteta is sacked: Frimpong
Arsenal board had earlier confirmed that they will back the Spaniard. Frimpong is of the opinion that Arteta will be a hit. In case if things fail to improve, Frimpong believes Arsene would be the perfect manager to replace the Spaniard.
He told PlayOJO: “I hope it does work out with Mikel, but I would take Arsene back due to his experience. “I don’t think Arsene has any intention of coming back to Arsenal as a manager.
We just need to move forward we what we have and that is Mikel and I believe he is good enough for the job. When he was at Arsenal, we were always in the top four.
