If you’re an Arsenal fan frustrated with the fact that Arsene Wenger isnt signing anyone, then your day just might get better. To start with, it looks like the Gunners are going to sign that specific center back that they have been so desperate for in the shape of Shkodran Mustafi of La Liga side Valencia. It is being reported that the personal terms have been agreed and all that is left is the fee that they need to agree with Valencia.
The Mustafi deal to Arsenal is looking ever more completed as the Valencia defender’s agent, Ali Bulut quoted saying that a deal has been agreed between the 24 year old German International and the North London side.
He had said : “Shkodran and Arsenal agree. There are only the terms to be agreed on a transfer fee,”
Wenger spoke about their match on Saturday and about the defensive issues in the squad by telling Talk Sport :
“We’ve had two unexpected injuries with Mertesacker and Gabriel, and Koscielny came back very late so we are in a difficult position for Sunday’s game against Liverpool.
“This is very frustrating, but it’s a part of the game as well.
“Sometimes you find a solution that you wouldn’t find if you had no injuries.
“We are short on the experience front and this, centre-back, is a position where experience plays an important part.
“Of course we will look to add, we are working on it, but until Sunday I have to find an internal solution and an efficient solution.”
Valencia are thought to be after around £30m for the 24 year old, so this one might well happen with The Gunner’s manager being somewhat notoriously quick at negotiating and in this case as reported also willing to agree with whatever sum the selling party is suggesting.
