It has now been confirmed that Premier League giants Arsenal could possibly miss out on signing yet another transfer target in the current transfer window, after 23 year old midfield superstar Oguzhan Ozyakup has said that he wants to remain with Turkish giants Besiktas. The north London outfit were being linked with their former midfielder, as per what the Daily Star had stated.

Despite all the speculations that have been going, it has been now suggested by Turkish newspaper Milliyet the former Gunner does not wish to leave the Black Eagles this summer.

According to the report, Ozyakup stated, “There have been offers but I do not want to leave this season, I want to stay with Besiktas and play Champions League football.”

The midfield superstar left the Emirates and moved to Turkey in 2012, as he looked for regular first-team action and has since then become one of the most wanted players in the league since then.

He still has a couple of years remaining in his current deal with the club and Besiktas fear that the Turkey international might possibly not sign a new deal.

The star played a key part in helping his team win the league title in the previous campaign and managed to score a tally of 10 goals with eight assists to his name as well.

It will be interesting to see whether Wenger still tries to coax the player in returning to England, as he looks to strengthen his squad prior to the start of the new season.
