Arsene Wenger’s side are now looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi, who was also wanted by their Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea. TalkSport have confirmed that the 29 year old France international is quite eager to play in England, though will only make the move if he gets a chance to play for either Arsenal, the Blues, the Red Devils Manchester City or Spurs.

The midfield superstar has been interested in playing in the top flight of English football for quite some time now and recent reports suggest that he flew to England after taking permission from both Didier Deschamps and the Ligue 1 champions in order to discuss a potential move.

Ligue 1 holders PSG will let their star leave the Parc des Princes, after completing the signing of Sevilla’s Grzegorz Krychowiak almost more than a week ago.

The player made a total of 165 league appearances for the champions of France, scoring 19 times, since joining them in 2011 and has played a vital role in his country’s run to the semi-finals of the Euro 2016 tournament.

In a recent interview with Metronews, talking about the huge upcoming clash against Germany, he stated, “We feel ready. Now we will rest. Because we know we will have to be at the top to tease this formidable team.”

“We have a lot of respect for them [Germany]. We also know we have the weapons to win. I hope we will make a big game and we will be there [in the final].

“We are already very satisfied with everything we have done so far, the craze there is around us, the pleasure that we have given the French people.

“For us, it is already a success. Now we can also afford to dream. We say that this is achievable. And we will give everything to qualify.”
