Arsenal News: Jack Wilshere completes his move to Danish club AGF Aarhus!

Arsenal News: Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been a free agent since June 2021. But the Englishman has now completed his move to the Danish side AGF Aarhus as per reports. 

Jack Wilshere last played for AFC Bournemouth in the Championship between January and June 2021. But the Englishman terminated his contract after picking up an injury in June.

Since then, Jack Wilshere has been training with Arsenal’s first-team squad in their training center. The midfielder was in search of a club in the January transfer window. But eventually, a deal was not signed with any club. 

Mikel Arteta wanted to sign a central midfielder in the January transfer window. The Gunners were linked with Bruno Guimaraes, Arthur Melo, and Renato Sanches. But the Arsenal management could not complete a move for any of the mentioned players.

Owing to this, rumours were suggesting that Arsenal could sign Jack Wilshere after the deadline day passed. But both the midfielder and the Arsenal manager made it clear that Wilshere would not be signed by the club.

Jack Wilshere even admittedly said, “The manager doesn’t want me to join Arsenal. I would love to, but I’m not in control”. Hence, making it evident that Mikel Arteta was in no mood to sign the midfielder in the transfer window. 

As per football London, Jack Wilshere has completed his signing to Danish side Aarhus Gymnastikforening. The club is better known as AGF Aarhus to the supporters and other football fanatics. 

The report states that Jack Wilshere has signed with his new club as a free agent. He would remain at the club until the end of the season. Following this, he would have a chance to extend his stay at the Danish club.

This is the first time that Wilshere would be leaving England for professional club football. The English midfielder initially started as a youth team player for Arsenal and West Ham United. He made his professional debut for Arsenal in the 2008/09 season.

Following this, Jack Wilshere joined Bolton Wanderers on a.6-month loan in 2010. Following this, he returned to Arsenal and stayed at the club until 2018. The Englishman has also played for West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth during his professional career.
