Arsenal news: Emile Smith Rowe has established himself as among the most promising players in the Premier League since returning to the Emirates Stadium from his loan spell with Huddersfield Town in 2020.
He has played 58 league games for the London club, scoring 12 goals. Rowe has won one FA Community Shield trophy with the Gunners so far.
His performances at the Emirates Stadium earned him a call-up to England’s senior squad. He has represented the Three Lions three times since making his debut last year.
The 22-year-old is expected to play a key role for the Gunners this season. He has featured in three games for Mikel Arteta’s team this term.

The Gunners left-back Kieran Tierney heaped praise on his team-mate, Emile Smith Rowe.
Speaking to the media, he said (via Sportskeeda): “The best player in training would be Smith Rowe. The fans can see how good he is but by training with him every day you realize how special he is.
He can take the ball under pressure, he can beat, he can score goals and get assists, so he’s a great player and I love playing with him.”
Kierney missed a large chunk of last season with a knee injury. However, he has now returned to full fitness and has featured in all of the Gunners’ opening five league games this term.
The Gunners passed an opportunity to sign Arthur Melo
According to Athletic (via TBR Football), Arsenal rejected the chance to sign Arthur Melo during the recently concluded transfer window.
Mikel Arteta tried to sign a new midfielder before deadline day to address Mohamed Elneny’s injury woes. The Spanish manager shortlisted several players, including Arthur, who was offered the London outfit.
However, Arteta declined a chance to bring to the Emirates Stadium as he had reservations about his fitness. The Brazil international was among the fringes at Juventus and was desperate to move away from the club. He moved to Liverpool on loan during the deadline day.

Arsenal have started the current season brilliantly, winning all of their opening five league games. The Gunners are currently at the top of the Premier League table, two points clear of Manchester.
