Arsenal News: As the transfer window begins clubs will be looking to secure talent for the future. Arsenal and Tottenham went at it for the fourth position in the Premier League and now it looks like they will keep up the rivalry in the window too.

Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with 3 common players already. Yves Bissouma, Gabriel Jesus, and Djed Spence are players both clubs have shown interest in. It looks like there is one more name that will now be added to the list.

Arsenal has taken an interest in Leeds United’s Raphinha who was being linked with a move to Tottenham. Although, Raphinha’s priority was not the Premier League altogether, now since Barcelona seems to have backed out many clubs are in action.

Nicolas Pepe is likely to leave Arsenal as he is not happy with his game time. As a result, Arteta is considering bringing in Raphinha as a replacement to keep things sharp for Arsenal.

If you look at it fundamentally Arsenal isn’t in dire need of Raphinha. Since the club already has Saka they already have a first-team right-winger. That being said, there is no one to go to should Saka get injured.

Also, Raphinha doesn’t not really want to extend his contract with Leeds. This is a situation where the club he moves to would be at an advantage in terms of transfer money.

As per reports from Football London, a bid of £26m – £34m could be on. Although considering, it’s the Premier League one could expect it to shoot up to the figure of £50 million.

Earlier in the window Arsenal was also showing interest in Richarlison. He too could be looking for greener pastures and has a price tag very similar to Raphinha. Although, Richarlison offers versitality as he can slot in as the number 9 too.

Instead of fishing out there for all available players, Arsenal should first focus on their priorities. Lacazette wants to leave and after his departure, the club will have no recognized number 9.

Gabriel Jesus is a primary target for the Gunners and there is no confirmation on his matter as of yet. The Gunners desperately need solidarity and creativity in their midfield.

Houssem Aouar is a likely target for Arsenal. Arsenal could be the perfect partner for the likes of Partey and Odegaard. Arsenal tried to acquire him last time out to but went with Partey instead.

Once the club can confirm and seal their number 9 they can focus on other areas. Now that the stadium is complete Arsenal will have more financial freedom and this is the season they need to start building.
