Arsenal News: Youri Tielemans may have played his last game for Leicester City, with Arsenal speculations circulating.
Brendan Rodgers is beginning to restructure his squad in advance of the 2022/23 season, and the Belgium international has just one year left on his contract with the Foxes. Tielemans has rejected a contract offer from Leicester in order to play for the Champions League club.
Even though Arsenal completed 5th in the Premier League and could compete in the Europa League next season, the Telegraph reviews that Tielemans and his representatives now are thinking about playing in the league.
After helping the Foxes attain the Europa Conference League semi-finals, the 25-year-old made 12 appearances in Europe this season.

The Gunners narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Champions League to their arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Mikel Arteta must be wishing that Norwich can cause an upset on the final day but that didn’t happen. Spurs put up a professional performance and dismantled the Canaries 5-0.
Arsenal had a depressing season. They lost 2 out of their 3 games and missed out on the Champions League. The Gunners thrashed Everton on the last day but that wasn’t enough.
With Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel, Cedric, and Martin Odegaard all scoring, the Gunners began out brightly and didn’t look back.
Arsenal finished the season in a better position than the last season. Arteta’s men showed signs of promise and improvement throughout the season. However, this summer window will be a huge one for them in terms of the signings they want to make.
They are expected to be active in the transfer market. A central midfielder is looking like a top priority for the next season.
Is signing a midfielder a priority?
Ruben Neves has been related to a move to the Emirates Stadium. However, given his achievements at Leicester, Tielemans seems to be on the top of the list. However, they’re expected to face competition from some of the top clubs in Europe for his signature. Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are interested.
When Tielemans scored the winning goal at Wembley to win the FA Cup for Leicester City, he engraved his name in the club’s history forever.
It was a fantastic way to end the season for the Belgian. He was named Player of the Season and Player of the Season by the Foxes. Following his departure from Monaco in 2019, he has made 158 appearances for Leicester, scoring 24 goals. Tielemans has represented Belgium 49 times internationally.
