Arsenal team management has been working really hard to sign the right players in the transfer window. As the January transfer window looms, the Gunners already expressed their interest to sign 20-year-old Szoboszlai. However, the German club RP Leipzig landed the signature of the Hungarian mid-fielder.
With the Gunners crying out for creativity in the midfield, breaking the bank and roping a player is the safest option. They managed to score just 11 goals this season. As if this wasn’t enough, they conceded more goals than the goals they scored this season.
Mikel Arteta’s team are languishing at the 15th position in the points table. Although the Premier League is still a long way to go, there has been no sign of progress from the Gunners. They won 4 games, lost 7, and played out 2 draws.
Their home form is indeed appalling given their 4 consecutive home defeats. While they were in route to losing yet another home game after conceding a goal against Southampton, they salvaged a draw despite Gabriel sending-off in the 62nd minute.
Omar Rekik touches down in London

In sensational development surrounding Arsenal camp, the Gunners are all set to complete their first signing this transfer window. Mikel Arteta’s side is almost close to signing Hertha Berlin centre-back Omar Rekik after the youngster arrived in London on Thursday.
Arsenal agreed a £900,000 fee with the German club on deadline day of the summer transfer window. The agreement also includes negotiations part of Geundouzi’s loan move to the Bundesliga side.
But the Gunners ran out of time to close the deal. Rekik stayed with Hertha, though there was always a ray of hope that the deal would be done in January. The 18-year-old defender has now triggered speculation by uploading a pic of him arriving in London on his recent Instagram story.

Rekik made it to Hertha Berlin’s squad 3 times at the finishing stage of last season. He has indeed trained well with the first team. He didn’t get a chance to play with the senior team. The young defender played for the youth team this season.
Earlier, Football London reported that academy manager Mertesacker guaranteed the young defender regular participation in first-team training. However, frequent game time would be good.
Arsenal take on Everton
The Gunners will lock horns with Everton on December 19 in an away fixture. Carlo Ancelloti’s team has proved time and again how dangerous they can be at home. With Arsenal currently out of form this season, Everton has a great chance to beat them to collect 3 points.
Everton are currently fifth in the points table with as many as 23 points. A convincing win over Arsenal will take them to the second spot. They won 7 games, lost 4 and played out 2 draws in 13 games.
Mikel Arteta expressed in a press interview about love for Everton. Mikel played for 7 years at Goodison Park before his switch to Emirates. Although Mikel Arteta will have affection for Toffees but it will affect his intention of taking 3 points and change the momentum of his team.
