As per GiveMeSport, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Tariq Lamptey. And Brighton & Hove Albion won’t stand in their way if an adequate transfer fee is provided.
Journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that Arsenal have reignited their interest to sign the 21-year-old. The youngster has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Seagulls this season. His performances have shown a lot of promise at such a young age.
Tariq Lamptey joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Chelsea in January 2020. Since then, the youngster has made 32 appearances for the Seagulls in all competitions. Lamptey has also made 2 appearances for the England U21 side.
Owing to his versatility, Lamptey has gained a lot of regard from his coach. The youngster can play as a right-back, right midfielder, and even a right-winger. Owing to this, he has been a vital cog to the Seagulls this season.
Brighton & Hove Albion have had an impressive start to their season under Graham Potter. The Seagulls are currently on the 8th spot in the Premier League table. They have just 4 losses in 19 games and are in contention for a European spot.
Arsenal have already done business with the Seagulls in the summer. The Gunners signed Ben White for a transfer fee of €69m. And the move has been quite positive for the North London club.

The Sun journalist Tom Barclay recently sang praises of the ‘impressive’ Tariq Lamptey. Barclay praised the capability of the youngster and even went on to say that “Lamptey puts the fear of God into any player.”
Tom Barclay focused on Lamptey’s performance against Chelsea in the Premier League. He said “Lamptey was getting around Reece James and causing him all manner of problems. If he can stay fit and carry on the way he is going, I think he could play for anyone. He’s brilliant, a fantastic player.”
