Arsenal Transfer News: As per the latest news, Dusan Vlahovic may cost the Gunners up to £150m. And this figure has drawn negative reactions from most of the Arsenal fans on Social Media.
The Gunners have been monitoring the situation of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic for the past few months. The North London club has also made an official bid to sign the striker in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker as all of their current options have been severely out of form. Edward Nketiah, Alexandre Lacazette, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have all failed to impress Mikel Arteta this season.
To add to this, none of the three strikers have a long-term future at the club. Lacazette and Nketiah’s contracts expire in the summer. meanwhile Aubameyang has been sidelined from the squad and may leave in January itself.
Arsenal transfer News: Is Dusan Vlahovic too costly?

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is looking for a move out of the Serie A club, per multiple sources. Owing to this, Arsenal are looking to sign him in January itself.
News agency Daily Mail recently put out the details of the package for the Serbian. According to them, the transfer fee, player salary, and agent fee could all account for about £150m.
Once this was reported, it garnered a lot of negative responses from the Arsenal fans. Most of them felt that the striker is yet to prove his worth to ask for such a high salary.
Arsenal are one of the “Super-clubs” in world football and there is no doubt about that. But £150m is an astronomical number, especially for a talent who is yet to even play a game of UEFA Champions League.
Dusan Vlahovic has scored 37 league goals in the last 18 months. But the striker is yet to prove himself outside the Serie A or even in any major European competition. Owing to this, there has been a lot of backlash from the Gunners’ faithful.
As per recent reports, Vlahovic himself is not very interested in moving to Arsenal. The striker reportedly wants a move to a club that will challenge for trophies immediately. The Serbian also wants to consistently play in the UEFA Champions League.
What are the other options for Arsenal?
Dusan Vlahovic isn’t the only striker that is being linked to the Gunners. Arsenal are also monitoring the situation of Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak as per reports. But it is unlikely that the Swedish striker would be allowed to leave mid-season.
Another player that made headlines recently was Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. The forward is reportedly an Arsenal supporter and dreams about playing for the club. Hence, the Gunners would still have other proven options if they are unable to complete the Dusan Vlahovic deal in January.
