BETADDA

Arsenal Transfer News: Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s boss, during a press conference this week, made it clear that the management is under discussion for the transfer strategy in January. Last summer, Arsenal brought six new players to the club.

Arteta closed all the deals & Arsenal spent a huge amount of money as compared to the other clubs in Europe. The results of these deals are visible as Arsenal has just lost once in their last 12 fixtures.

On Wednesday, Arteta made it very clear that Arsenal is not going to stop & it will be business as usual in January. He made it clear that there will be few players who could be sold before their contract gets over.

“We are in discussion. We have talks every week about it, how we can improve the team, and what things can happen in the January transfer window that can affect our squad” said Mikel Arteta on Wednesday’s press conference.

He also mentioned that there are few players in the team who are uncertain about their future. Arteta was signaling towards selling some of the players from the team before their contracts come to an end.

“As you know, we have certain players with a little bit of uncertainty in the summer so we have to plan what’s going to happen now and what’s going to happen in the summer” added Arteta.

Strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nktiah, defenders Calum Chambers and Sead Kolasinac, and midfielder Mohamed Elneny will be out of contract next summer. Arteta has already started to plan their future with the team.

Both the defenders, Kolasinac and Chambers, haven’t played in the first team after the unforgettable loss of 5-0 against Newcastle in August. With some other good options in the team, it looks like Arteta won’t be worried about the defense department.

In the midfield, Arsenal looks settled with Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Albert Sambi Lokunga, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Xhaka is out because of his injury in September but Arteta will use him as soon as he is medically fit.

Even if Mohamed Elneny leaves Arsenal, Arteta has good options and he might just sign one midfielder in the transfer window. Recently, Renato Sanches from Roma was linked with Arsenal, but AC Milan has also expressed their interest in him.

The first priority for Arsenal in the upcoming transfer window will be to sign a striker. Lacazette’s representative said last week that they are looking for a good future for the player.

Similarly, Nketiah has turned down the recent contract offer made by Arsenal, hence it is predicted that he might be on his way out. Arsenal might have already placed their scouts for a new striker in the team and these uncertainties are keeping them open for the business in the upcoming transfer window.
