Arsenal Transfer News: The Gunners are gearing up for the summer transfer window as they look to spend £180 million. Mikel Arteta’s side is looking to sign Alexander Isak, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Ruben Neves when the window reopens.

The Gunners had a disappointing winter transfer window by all accounts. Even though Mikel Arteta claimed that Arsenal needed new players, the technical director Edu failed to complete any important deals.

Arsenal was reportedly targeting Dusan Vlahovic as their potential striker in January. But the Serbian decided to snub the Gunners and move to Juventus instead. Similarly, Bruno Guimaraes also snubbed the North London side to join Newcastle United.

Similarly, Arthur Melo, Alvaro Morata, Jonathan David, and other notable players were linked with the Gunners. But Arsenal failed to add a single player in their squad even though they let quite a few players leave.

As per The Sun, The Gunners had been linked with the three mentioned players in January itself. But they could not complete deals for the players. Owing to this, Arsenal will attempt to sign all three players in the summer.

Arsenal is lacking in attacking options after letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave in January. Owing to this, the Gunners only have Edward Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette as the possible options in attack. But both the players will become free agents in the summer.

Owing to this Arsenal is looking to add new acquisitions to their squad. The Gunners management has reportedly recognized Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alexander Isak are the long-term attacking options at the club.

Both the players are under the age of 25 at the moment and have already proved their worth in their respective clubs. But Arsenal may have to cough out £75 million for Real Sociedad’s Isak and £60 million for Everton’s Calvert-Lewin if they want to sign them.

Similarly, Arsenal is also lacking in central midfield. Currently, the Gunners have Partey, Elneny, Xhaka, and Lokonga as the possible options. But Elneny and Xhaka’s future is doubtful with the club.

Owing to this, Mikel Arteta has reportedly shortlisted Wolverhampton Wanderer’s, Ruben Neves. The midfielder has been consistent for the Wolves in the past seasons and has not suffered any major injuries. But the Gunners would have to pay £45 in transfer fee to get him in the summer.
