A Norwegian media outlet VG has claimed that Arsenal is interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge. The midfielder joined the English side from Genk this January only. The Blades signed him for a then-record fee for them.
In his first ten months, he has been impressive. So far he has made 26 appearances for the club scoring two goals and further providing two assists. Berge primarily plays as a defensive midfielder. He is only 22 years old and he still improves with time.
However, things aren’t going very well for his team at this moment. The Blades were excellent last season, finishing ninth. They just gained promotion a year earlier. This season their situation looks very bleak. They are yet to register a win and they have just one point from nine games.
So far they are the favorites to get relegated. If they go down this year, then it will be difficult for them to keep hold off Berge. Even in the past, the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with him. The Gunners are the latest club to be linked with a move for him.

Arsenal learn Torres price

According to a report by El Periodico Mediterraneo, Villereal wants $50 million for their defender Pau Torres. Arsenal has been linked with a move for him, and if they want to sign him they will have to pay the amount the Spanish side is asking.
Real Madrid has also been credited with an interest in the Spaniard. Recently he has also become a regular for the Spanish national team as well. He is only 23 years old and this season he has made 11 appearances for the club in all competitions.
There have been a few other clubs across Europe who have shown interest in him. It can be understood that the player is performing well, that’s why so many clubs are interested in him. The Gunners have been previously linked with him but they could get a deal done for him.
Currently, he has a $50 million release clause in his contract. In Spain, it is mandatory for clubs to insert release clauses in every player’s contract. If Mikel Arteta wants Torres to partner Gabriel, he now has a relative figure for which he should try to sign the Spaniard.
Arsenal to retain Balogun

According to Athletic via Sports Mole, Gunners have opened up talks with youngster Folarin Balogun. They are now ready to put in efforts to keep the striker at Emirates. He made his debut for Arsenal this year only in a 3-0 win over Dundalk in the Europa League.
Even in the summer, he was heavily linked with a move away from the club. Sheffield United was said to be interested in signing him. But they signed Rhian Brewster from Liverpool instead. Championship side Brentford were also linked with him.
Not only this other Premier League sides Brighton and Southampton have shown interest in him. Italian giants, AC Milan’s name has also been mentioned as a potential destination. Mikel Arteta’s side only has till December to get him a contract extension.
Thus the Gunners are in a race against time to get the deal done. Balogun’s current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2021. If he does not extend his contract then he will be free to discuss a move to a new club in January.
