The Gunners sets a bid of £60m for their young Midfielder following an interest from Paris Saint Germain.
Matteo Guendouzi, 19-year old is a French professional footballer who plays as a Midfielder for Arsenal and the French under-21 team. The 19-year-old has quickly established himself at the heart of Unai Emery’s midfield and has made 33 appearances in all competitions for far this season.
Guendouzi spent nine years in PSG’s youth academy before moving to Lorient, He was a surprise signing for the Gunners last summer, joining in a £7m deal in July from Lorient.
According to the Sunday Express, Paris Saint-Germain have been monitoring Guendouzi’s progress in the Premier League and are considering a bid this summer because of his splendid performance at Emirates.
But the Gunners have set a £60m asking price if the French champions do decide to make a move for the young starlet. Guendouzi spent nine years in PSG’s youth academy before moving to Lorient,
Arsenal were heavily restricted in the January transfer window as they were unable to spend money on big fees. And Unai Emery is set to face similar complications in the summer as the Gunners will only have a £40m budget if they fail to secure Champions League qualification for next season.
Arsenal are also desperate to get Mesut Ozil’s £350,000-a-week salary off their wage bill and are open to offers for the 30-year-old midfielder, who is constantly being overlooked by Emery and is facing a hard-time at Arsenal.
Emery has been told by Arsenal’s hierarchy that any player sales will boost his budget, which could tempt the Gunners into cashing in Guendouzi. But the young Starlet already revealed that his heart is at Arsenal and he choose to stay, rather making a move to Paris Saint Germain. The player is not tempted to make a move but if Arsenal really want to make a signing in transfer window selling him to French club would be the only option.
