Arsenal manager confirmed Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil won’t be sold until their contract expires in 2018.
Both Sanchez and Ozil have 18 months left in their contract and are yet to sign new deals at Emirates. But Arsene Wenger insists they won’t be sold before the end of their contracts in 2018.
As per the reports, both players are undergoing negotiations over a new deal to stay at Arsenal. But at the same time, Arsene Wenger has admitted he has no guarantee, these duo will sign new contracts.
Wenger said both the players have 18 months left in their contract and it’s indeed a long term. “It depends what you call the long-term. Eighteen months is quite long in football.”
“These players have 18 months contracts. No matter what happens they will stay 18 months and we hope longer”, said Wenger.

Sanchez and Ozil are the biggest earning players at Arsenal, and are looking for pay rises. Latest reports suggest, duo could be in the top chart of best paid players in Premier League in future. But a decision on whether to offer an improved contract isn’t finalized yet according to Wenger.
“I’m not the only one who can decide that. The best position is to achieve it now. These players will stay for at least 18 months. At some stage you will accept negotiations are private and secret. We’re professional and work until the last day of our contracts.”

As a result, Wenger confirms there won’t be any assurance about agreeing new deals. Wenger stated: “None – they have 18 months contract and they are completely committed to do well as long as they are here.”
There are several rumours, Sanchez being offered £400,000-a-week to play in the Chinese Super League. “I believe it yes why not,” said Wenger. “Why should you go to China now when you play in England?”
