Arshdeep Singh Has Overtaken Avesh Khan Says Indian Commentator Sanjay Manjrekar

Indian commentator Sanjay Manjrekar who has been keenly monitoring Arshdeep Singh’s progress as a bowler has made a statement on the left-arm seamer.

The veteran commentator said that Arshdeep Singh has overtaken Avesh Khan. The left-arm fast bowler delivered the goods for India in the recently-concluded T20I series against West Indies.

The left-arm medium-fast pacer was even adjudged the man of the series for his incredible bowling performance. On the other hand, Avesh Khan didn’t really had a good day at the office.

He proved to be expensive in most of the games that he played for the country, even though he is one of the talented prospects of the bowling department.

So, a race going on to clamour to get those seats on business class to Australia. And that’s where I think you would have to say Arshdeep Singh has overtaken Avesh Khan,” said Manjrekar.

While speaking to SPORTS18’s daily sports news programme “SPORTS OVER THE TOP,” as cited by MyKhel, Manjrekar said Avesh Khan is slightly behind there. He also remarked that there is a real competition going on for spots.

“Arshdeep Singh has certainly taken a little lead over Avesh Khan because he’s doing exactly what is what Avesh Khan’s role is – to go with the new ball in the middle and in the death as well,” added Sanjay Manjrekar.
