Aston Villa are bracing themselves for the departure of their star player Jack Grealish. The England International will make a decision on his next move after he returns from Dubrovnik, Croatia. Jack is spending his holiday in Dubrovnik after a busy Euro 2020 outing.
However Manchester City have reportedly tabled an offer of a whopping £100 million for Jack Grealish recently. Though Pep Guardiola stated that Manchester City is suffering from financial constraints. He also made it clear that they will not bid such huge offers, but here we are.
Alternatively, Aston Villa recently offered Jack Grealish a new contract. Now Jack has two options on his table. First, he can join Manchester City and win the Premier League and possibly UEFA Champions League.
Second, he can stay at his boyhood club Aston Villa by signing a new contract and he can go on to become a legend for the club. Jack has to choose between personal glory and ambition of winning things.
Only time will tell whether Jack Grealish leaves Aston Villa or not. But if he does leave, then the club must be prepared to bring a solid replacement. They should also spend the massive cash correctly in rebuilding the team.
Aston Villa to move for Todd Cantwell
According to an exclusive report from the Express, Aston Villa will make a move for Todd Cantwell. Therefore, they are looking at Todd Cantwell as a replacement for Jack Grealish.
However, the attacking midfielder of Norwich City is impressing a lot of Premier League clubs. The top six clubs have made a look at him, but none of the clubs have made a move on him so far.
Arsenal were reportedly keen on him in the beginning of the transfer window after they failed to bring Emi Buendia. But they did not move for him so far.
Todd Cantwell was a key part of the Norwich City squad that saw a return to the Premier League this new season. The 23-year-old became a regular starter for the club after his breakout season. Todd Cantwell made 33 appearances in the Championship last season. He scored 6 goals and gave 6 assists.
Norwich City is in no mood to sell their young player. The Canaries sold their key player Emi Buendia to Aston Villa in the beginning month of the transfer window. However, they do not want to sell another of their stars. Despite this, if Aston Villa want to test the waters, it will take a significant amount of money for Norwich to even think about selling.
Aston Villa also keen on other targets as a replacement for Jack Grealish
Aston Villa is also looking at other targets if a deal does not materialise with Norwich City for Todd Cantwell. They have already created a list of other targets in the eve of possible eventuality.
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Matheus Pereira and Burnley‘s Dwight McNeil are on the radar of Aston Villa for Jack Grealish replacement if Todd Cantwell’s deal does not go through. Aston Villa is also looking at players from Championship sides.
