Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla: Atletico Madrid and Sevilla went on to face each other in a La Liga match on Sunday. Both the teams had to share the points as the match ended in a draw.

The Atletico Madrid team were not up to the mark in their final home game of the season. They were playing without any touch which saw Sevilla dominating and dictating the game.

Atletico Madrid had 40 per cent of possession while Sevilla held 60 per cent of possession. Sevilla had eight shots out of which only four were on target. While Atletico Madrid had 12 shots out of which only three were on target.

José María Giménez scored the opening goal of the match for Atletico Madrid in the 30th minute. However, Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri netted the equaliser in the 85th minute due to which both teams shared points.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone said, “There are a number of things to improve,” Simeone said. “I have it clear through my own daily self-criticism, and the self-criticism we will have when the season ends.”

“Excuses are useless. Even in an inconsistent season, we all share responsibility for not going further despite meeting the club’s objective (of Champions League qualification). We need to improve, to speak and believe in what we do in order to compete well.”
