BAN vs IND: The young Indian keeper Rishabh Pant has improved his wicket-keeping skills in the last few years. Many doubted his candidature to replace MS Dhoni in Test matches, but Pant has certainly cemented his place in the XI.

In ongoing Bangladesh vs India 1st Test match, India posted a total of 404 on the board. The top contributor was Cheteshwar Pujara with 90 runs, while Shreyas Iyer hit 86. The knocks from Ravichandran Ashwin (58), Rishabh Pant (46) and Kuldeep Yadav (40) also helped the team’s prospects.

In reply, Bangladesh were bundled out for 150, with Mushfiqur Rahim as the top-scorer with 128. Kuldeep impressed with a five-wicket haul, while Mohammed Siraj picked three scalps in the BAN vs IND Test.

Riding on a big lead, the Indian cricket team declared on 258/2, with centuries from Shubman Gill (110) and Pujara (102*). The Bangladesh cricket team set up a target of 513 to win the fixture.

Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hasan Shanto were terrific to tire out the Indian bowlers and construct a hefty partnership. The 124-run stand was broken by Umesh Yadav, who dismissed Shanto (67), with Rishabh Pant taking a special catch.

After Shanto was dismissed, the floodgates were opened for the Indian team, and they sent Zakir (100), Yasir Ali (5), and Litton Das (19) back into the hut.

After delivering with the bat, Rishabh Pant was phenomenal behind the stumps as well. The prime example was witnessed in the BAN vs IND 1st Test match at Chattogram on Saturday.

In the end, Shakib Al Hasan is batting at 40*, while Mehidy remained unbeaten on 9. The hosts are at 272/6, and still, need 241 runs to win the BAN vs IND Test.

It will be interesting to see if both batters can secure a sensational victory on the final day of the Test match. Otherwise, the experienced India bowling attack will be ready to run down the tail quickly.
