Bangladesh T20 World Cup Squad: Shakib Al Hasan will serve as the team’s captain during the next T20 World Cup 2022, which will include a strong 15-member roster announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Mahmudullah was the lone name on the squad who was absent. The all-rounder, who has been having trouble getting in shape, was unable to qualify for the international competition.
On the other hand, well-known figures from the red-ball game. Such Litton Das, Nurul Hasan, and Najmul Hossain Shanto have made it onto the squad. Along with Parvez Hossain Emon, Anamul Haque, and Mohammad Naim, Mahedi Hasan was also benched for the just-finished Asia Cup.
In their most recent appearance at the Asia Cup 2022, Bangladesh’s team lost both of their games in the group stage. Which resulted in a tragic early exit from the competition. Bangladeshi players were unable to secure a spot in the Super Four after losing to Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the group stage matches. And thus were forced to depart for their homeland.
Team Bangladesh will get the chance to redeem themselves at the future World Cup in Australia after being eliminated from last year’s World Cup and the recently finished Asia Cup 2022.
On October 24, Bangladesh plays its first match of the World Cup, kicking off its campaign. The same team will go to New Zealand to compete in a tri-series beginning on October 7 against Pakistan and the hosts.
Except for the championship game. Which will be played on Friday, October 14, there are six scheduled games for the tri-series. After that, all of the teams will begin training for the T20 World Cup and playing their planned exhibition matches.

Mahmud Ullah, a former captain. He will not be participating in the T20 World Cup in 2022 with Shakib Al Hasan leading the team. Bangladesh made significant adjustments from the team that lost in the Asia Cup elimination round.
All four members of the Asia Cup team—Parvez Hossain Emon, Anamul Haque, Mahedi Hasan, and Mohammad Naim—miss the flight to Australia. The Tigers will also be without the services of Mahmud Ullah and Mushfiqur Rahim. The two of their veteran middle-order hitters left the format following the Asia Cup.
Litton Das, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, and Najmul Hossain Shanto have all been summoned back to Bangladesh. Who has advanced to the last 15 despite not playing in the Asia Cup? Das missed the Asia Cup because of a hamstring injury he sustained while on the Zimbabwe tour. He has fully recovered, just like Nurul who had to have surgery for a finger injury.
